Replace the boring CWM with TWRP or PhilzTouch Recovery onyourXperia. Almost all custom kernels and ROMs havethe"extract_elf_ramdisk" method embedded in them which allowsflashinga recovery.img to the FOTAKernel partition and using thisrecoveryinstead of the recovery that comes inside the kernel.
